Presuming you will be at least 65 and your husband's social security amount is higher than your own SSDI, you will receive the larger amount he was getting on his own. I can't speak to VA benefits....

The VA probably isn't going to be a great resource for you. I'd suggest you look into your community social services programs. get involved with a senior citizen center to learn information.
